Congress has a narrow window within the remaining legislative calendar this year to pass a pandemic relief package. The Partnership is encouraged by the outline that the bipartisan House and Senate members have released and appreciates the revisions and efforts to move the Senate Republican proposal forward.
This week, the Partnership submitted a letter to the greater Houston congressional delegation and urged members of Congress to reach a bipartisan agreement that can pass this year. The organization supports a pandemic relief package that includes business liability protections, additional funding for the Paycheck Protection Program and continued funding for state and local governments for pandemic response.
